Research: Child sexual abuse in India

Primary Prevention Strategies in India

As a part of the program, the Public Health Foundation of India has undertaken a systematic review of published literature examining the epidemiology and response to child sexual violence in India.

Prevention By Deterrence

Sexual Violence: a public health issue

Using the approach of primary prevention and knowledge about potential offenders, the smartphone application ‘NO’ is a product that enables its users to be informed about their near ones being sexually harassed and to navigate to the location. The more people download the app, the larger gets the community, the more sexual violence gets prevented by social control.
The app is available in the Google Play Store and will soon be available in the Apple App Store.

Together, we can prevent sexual abuse

A team of Indian and German experts have started a collaborative initiative to prevent women and child sexual abuse and its after-effects through its programmes.

Prevention By Treatment
